SnapType Pro recently updated the app so that features can be hidden from the end user to limit visual distractions. Don't worry! They're still there, but in a different place. If you lost options to change font style or color, follow these directions to get them back.
- From the main screen where you see all the documents listed, tap the 3 lines in the upper left corner to go to the main menu.
- Tap on Settings (top option on the menu list)
- Under FONT - choose a font style. It will apply to the whole document.
- Under HIDDEN ICONS, slide all the buttons to GREEN to make them active, which will allow you to choose colors, lock text boxes and zoom rate, undo/redo, pencil, highlighter, scissors and text-to-speech. You can turn on and off features as needed so there's less visual distraction.
- The SHARE feature works. You need to tap SHARE, and it will prompt you to learn more about SnapType Pro2. Click OK. Then click SHARE again, choose PDF, and pick between AirDrop, Drive, or SnapType Pro. If you choose AirDrop, the PDF will come over as a file. Pick where you want the PDF to go. (SnapType, Drive, etc.) Note – AirDrop needs to be manually turned on in the settings on both iPads every time you want to share this way. It only stays on for 10 minutes by default.
- The "scissors" feature allows you to hold down an annotation or text box until a red circle appears. When the circle is filled, it's deleted from the page.
