Read&Write PDF Reader is now called Orbit Note! Read more...
Please spread the word to your teachers and students! The Read&Write extension is available county-wide to all students and staff until at least June 2024. As of the 2020-21 school year, there were three pieces that made up the suite of tools within the extension: R/W toolbar for Drive, Screenshot Reader, and PDF Reader.
As of July 1, 2021 one piece of this suite of tools has been updated and rebranded. The PDF Reader is now called Orbit Note and should have updated automatically on the Chrome extension list within the browser.
Now when students or staff open a PDF with the R/W for Chrome, they will be prompted to login with their FCPS credentials and automatically taken to the new Orbit Note tool. Luckily, Orbit Note looks very similar to the old R/W PDF Reader, but it is streamlined and much easier to use.
Teachers have the option to send assignments to students through Orbit Note within Schoology. Teachers need to open a PDF with Orbit Note in order to see a student’s annotations that were made within Orbit Note.
