Linganore High School FFA

Growing the next generation of leaders who will change the world.

FFA is a national organization with the primary purpose of developing agricultural leadership, citizenship, and cooperation.

FFA is a student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. With over 200 FFA members, the Linganore FFA Chapter is one of the largest FFA Chapters in the state. Our members participate in school activities, regional, state and national FFA career and leadership development events.

Participation in FFA helps prepare members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

The official name of the organization is the National FFA Organization. The letters “FFA” stand for Future Farmers of America.  Most of the 200 FFA members at Linganore are from non-farm backgrounds but are just interested in or have a passion for animals and agriculture.

If you are interested in any form of agriculture, whether it be small engines, tractors, motors, turf management, flowers, gardening or working with livestock or small animals, you should consider becoming a member of FFA! You will gain new friendships that will last a lifetime.  You will also have the opportunity to work with other members as part of a team and have the opportunity to travel!

The FFA Advisors are Mr. Tom Hawthorne, Ms. Pat Beachy and Ms. Ashley Abuelhawa
