Students in grades K-2 will use a YubiKey instead of a password.
All passwords for students in grades three and up, will be reset to their Student ID late in the day on Aug 20.
All students in grades three and up will be required to change their password after their initial logon.
This will be the only time they are required to change their password for the 2024/25 school year.
When adjusting their password students will need to change their password to something more memorable with the following restrictions:
- Students in grades 3-5:
- Minimum password length is 5 characters.
- Students in grades 6-12:
- Minimum password length is 8 characters.
- Password Complexity Requirements are as follows:
- Passwords may not contain the user's Account Name or Display Name.
- Students cannot use a password they used from previous years.
- The password must contain characters from three of the following categories:
- Uppercase letters (A through Z)
- Lowercase letters (a through z)
- Numbers (0 through 9)
- Non-alphanumeric characters (special characters): (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/)
All accounts have a minimum password age of 1 day, so students will be able to change their password only once per day, on their own.
