At New Market Elementary School, we have a program designed to honor children on their birthdays while making a lasting contribution to the library media center. The Birthday Book Club can commemorate your child’s birthday or any other special occasion, such as a thank you to teachers, holiday gift, a special achievement, etc.
For a donation of $15.00 or more, your child may select a book from a special collection specifically purchased for the school library media center. A bookplate bearing your child’s name, the date and name of the occasion, and name of the donor will be attached inside the front cover of the book. Your child will be the first student to borrow the book from the library media center. Such a gift creates a lasting tribute and gives your child a great sense of pride as others open this book and discover the inscription.
