National Punctuation Day is celebrated all over the United States on September 24th. Whittier will celebrate National Punctuation Day on Friday, September 22nd. Students may:

  • read stories and do punctuation activities in their classroom
  • wear a simple costume to school of a punctuation mark - make a shirt or cut out a paper punctuation mark to attach to clothes at home

Celebrating punctuation is a perfect way to compliment what students learn in their classrooms about the importance of using correct punctuation symbols. If you would like to learn more about National Punctuation Day, check out their website.

Please contact Mrs. Leichliter (amanda.leichliter@fcps.org) or Mrs. Albee (kelley.albee@fcps.org) with any questions.
