Greetings from the Spring Ridge Health Room!!
We are looking forward to another school year. This year our health room is staffed by Kristin Meinberg (RN) and Olivia Robertson (LPN).
If your child requires medication or medical treatment during the school day, his/her Health Care Provider must complete the appropriate forms. These forms may be obtained from the health room and at www.fcps.org
The health room is available from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm prior to the first day of school to accept medications, answer questions, and provide forms. Appointments are encouraged. We will be present for Open House on August 21st from 3pm to 4 pm.

Dear Parent/Guardian:
As the registered nurse for Spring Ridge Elementary School, I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am employed by the Frederick County Health Department, School Health Program. I am also the Registered Nurse (RN) at Green Valley Elementary School.
My responsibilities include health assessments, health counseling, communicable disease prevention, crisis intervention, health education, and referrals for health needs. I work closely with school administration, faculty, medical providers, and parents/guardians to develop plans of care for students with medical needs. I am responsible for ensuring that medications and treatments can be safely administered during the school day.
Your child’s health room is staffed by a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The LPN is licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing and functions as a nursing team member under my leadership. The LPN is licensed to administer medications and treatments without prior RN delegation and assists the RN in providing health education, training, identifying health needs, and updating existing student health care plans.
