Volunteer
We are requesting that all volunteers be in their junior year of high school or older. Parents, please have your son or daughter make the contact with us. Thank you.
Dear Potential Volunteers,
The ESSL operates on a shoestring budget. Your help allows us to offer our evening programs, our summer matinees, keep the two-acre arboretum and front garden in good shape, and assist with classroom preparations.
Volunteer needs include:
- Evening Planetarium Programs and Laser Light Shows - assist with activities, animals, collecting tickets, crowd control.
- Summer Matinees - assist with activities, animals, collecting tickets, crowd control.
- South Frederick Arboretum Maintenance - mowing, weed whacking, pruning, pick-up, mulching.
- Classroom set-up and clerical assistance - clipboard, pencils, copies, microscope and tablet set-up, displays cabinets dusted and cleaned.
