News from the Nurses
Should we call you to pick up your child from school when they are ill, it is expected that you will arrive promptly, within 60 minutes. If your child starts a new medication, it is recommended that they are home for the first (24) hours after starting it, to monitor any side effects that may occur. In order for your child to have the best experience at school, please refrain from giving laxatives in the morning, prior to the school day as it is difficult for them to access their educational program if cramping and multiple diaper changes are needed. Please keep your child home if they have not had a full night's sleep, a minimum of 8 hours. Students have a full schedule while at school and require adequate rest to fully participate in their individual program.
