PARKWAY ELEMENTARY is near Frederick’s historic downtown, situated on a hill overlooking picturesque Baker Park. One of the oldest schools in Frederick, Parkway has modern amenities and technological capabilities. Our school has a rich history and tradition of developing model citizens, and we are an integral part of an economically diverse community.

Parkway has adopted the motto, “It takes a whole village to educate a child.” Our village has a strong network of supportive and involved parents, community and business partners and a dedicated staff. A variety of community groups uses our facility to provide services to students and families.  On any given school day, visitors can observe our “villagers” collaboratively working to accomplish our vision: “every child succeeding.”

We are very proud of our students’ academic achievements, and we work continuously to add to them. Parkway staff participates in strategic professional development opportunities aligned with special programs and academic interventions to meet the individual needs of students. We have made great strides in developing an environment that fosters character. Our students demonstrate pride in themselves and their school every day.
