Virtual Summer Session (VSS)
VSS is a 5-week program designed for independent and self-motivated learners. VSS offers high school honors level courses and electives to current FCPS students in grades 8-12. Students are enrolled in comprehensive online courses and are required to attend synchronous Google Meet sessions once a week. Students must meet all required course prerequisites stated in the FCPS High School Course Guide.
Support Based Summer Session (SBSS)
SBSS is a 5-week program designed for students who need to recover credits in core courses, required for graduation and benefit from a structured day with support of a Virtual Mentor. Students are enrolled in comprehensive online courses and are required to:
- attend daily synchronous Google Meet sessions with the virtual mentor
- attend weekly synchronous Google Meet sessions with the instructor
