At Emmitsburg Elementary, your child will be given the gift of reading on their birthday!
- When your child’s birthday month arrives, he/she will be invited to the Media Center to select a new book from the Birthday Book collection.
- Your child will be announced during morning announcements to report to the Media Center.
- We will place a happy birthday bookmark inside the chosen book.
- If your child's birthday occurs in the summer months, they will be called throughout the school year to participate.
- June birthdays will be called in May
- July birthdays will be called in May
- August birthdays will be called in September
